Fort Collins: The Miller Photographs

by Barbara Fleming and Malcolm McNeill

Fort Collins: The Miller Photographs (Arcadia, 2009) contains almost 200 images of Fort Collins taken by photographer Mark Miller, who settled in the small frontier town in the early twentieth century.  Selecting from thousands of Miller images housed at the Fort Collins Museum Archives, authors Barbara Fleming and Malcolm McNeill accompany the photographs with information about the photographer and his family, about the town, and about the people who lived there.

The book covers almost six decades, from 1914 to 1970 when Miller died, and includes chapters on the town, work life, leisure, the college, outstanding and intriguing individuals, and Miller’s favorite recreation ground, the Poudre Canyon.
